The Open Doors Scholarship 2025
Open Doors Scholarship: Students can apply for scholarships from the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Education and Science. Talented international students who wish to enroll in master’s and postgraduate studies in Russia at no cost are the target audience for the Open Doors Scholarship Program.
The Open Doors Scholarship
There are now four tracks available for prospective undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and post-doctoral students in the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Program Olympiad.
For the eighth time, the Open Doors International Olympiad gets underway! The Olympiad winners will have the option to enroll for free in the bachelor’s, master’s, or postgraduate programs of their selected university, depending on the path they choose.
Alternatively, should the postdoctoral route be selected, to secure a position as a researcher in one of the proposed research initiatives.
The doctorate track winners will have the opportunity to select and interview potential research supervisors during the Olympiad. Research project leaders will conduct interviews with the winners of the postdoctoral track.

Eligibility Criteria of the Open Doors Scholarships
- Applications are invited from all foreign or international students seeking master’s and doctoral degrees.
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree to be considered for master’s programs, and a master’s or specialist’s degree is required for doctorate programs.
- Foreign nationals are welcome to apply as well.
- There is no gender discrimination at the Olympiad.
- Any foreign national, regardless of race, nationality, gender, or color, is eligible to participate in the program.
- A strong command of either Russian or English is required of participants.

How To Apply for Open Doors Scholarship
The steps required in applying for the Open Doors Scholarship are as follows:
- Candidates must register online through the Olympiad registration system between September 5 and November 20 for postgraduates and undergraduates, and December 10, 2024 for postdocs. Any machine with internet access can perform the task.
- On the Olympiad website, candidates can click the “SIGN UP” option to register for the Open Doors Scholarship.
- Participants can access their personal accounts after completing the registration process successfully.
- Participants agree that their personal data will be processed in compliance with Russian Federation law by registering.
- During the year that the Olympiad is held, a participant may only register and participate once (with a single account). The participant will be eliminated if this rule is broken.
- Each participant must enter their personal information, password, and login—which doubles as their email address—during the registration process. Upon registering, the participant is immediately added to all schedule and procedural alerts for the Olympiad.
- Following registration, the participant has access to details regarding the portfolio’s format, the evaluation standards, and sample versions of the second stage’s tasks.
