The University of Adelaide is offering Global Citizens Scholarships to worthy master’s students. The scholarship offers a 15% or 30% tuition reduction and is awarded based on merit.

Recipients of scholarships will start paying less for their foreign tuition at the University of Adelaide in 2024, either by 15% or 30%.

Requirements for Global Citizens Scholarships

  • International students starting in 2024 to pursue coursework awards at the University of Adelaide;
  • Applicants for direct entry undergraduate and graduate award programs, including those who must complete a Pre-Enrollment English Program (PEP) before starting their degree program;
  • Candidates who get the required minimum score.
  • Open to nationals of all nations enrolling as international students, except for Australia and New Zealand;
  • Available for research in any field with a few limitations.

Candidates who can prove they have attained the following minimum score will be eligible for a 15% scholarship:

  • Applicants for admission to undergraduate (UG) programs who have at least an ATAR of 85 (or a similar score).
  • Candidates for admission to undergraduate (UG) or graduate (PG) programs must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.5 on a 7.0 scale or a comparable number.
  • Candidates for admission to an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) level award program must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 on a 7.0 scale for studies completed at the University of Adelaide, or a comparable score for studies at an Australian university where studies are completed in Australia.
  • Scholarships up to a maximum of 15% will be given to candidates who have completed an Australian occupational qualification when studies were completed in Australia and the overall grading is a non-graded pass (competency-based).

Candidates who can prove they have attained the following minimum score will be eligible for a 30% scholarship:

  • Applicants with at least a 95 ATAR (or comparable score) who are seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) programs.
  • Applicants with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.5 on a 7.0 scale, or a comparable score, for admission to undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) programs.
  • A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.0 on a 7.0 scale for studies completed at the University of Adelaide, or a comparable score for studies at an Australian university where studies are completed in Australia, is required of candidates for admission to an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) level award program.

How to Apply

At the time of application, a system determines your eligibility for the scholarship automatically. Notification of scholarship eligibility will be sent to applicants in the Offer of Admission.

There is no need for a separate application form. This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, and eligibility is decided by the merit obtained in the qualification that serves as the foundation for university entrance.

For the scholarship to be verified, the University of Adelaide’s academic requirements must be fulfilled.

The scholarship has no set end date, but candidates are advised to complete their admissions process as soon as possible to give themselves enough time to apply for a visa and get ready for school.
