General Responsibilities as a Graduate Trainee

Graduate trainees employed at NNPC Limited are  expected to: 

  • Aid in the execution of organizational procedures.
  • Ensure economical business results.
  • Assist supervisors and line managers in creating and carrying out strategic work plans for a range of functions.
  • Encourage the completion of project team duties.

General Requirements as a Graduate Trainee

Candidates who wish to apply for the graduate trainee program need to possess any of the following minimal credentials in any of the subjects below:

  • First Class/Second Class Upper Division Bachelor’s Degree
  • HND (Distinction)
  • a second-class lower division bachelor’s degree combined with a completed master’s degree
  • A completed Master’s degree with a HND Upper Credit.
  • possess a diploma from a university, polytechnic, or monotechnic that has been validated no earlier than 2019.
  • have finished their NYSC.
  • not older than 28 years old on December 31, 2024.
  • Have strong interpersonal and computer skills.

2. LEAD, ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities
  • Proffer solutions to problems using engineering argument/judgement.
  • Supervise electrical & Instrumentation Projects.
  • Prepare valuation certificate for on-going or completed Projects.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems and evaluate each systems reliability.
  • Prepare technical specifications/bid document, provide project cost estimates in line with budget provision.
  • Implement schedule of electrical and instrumentation plant equipment monitoring.
  • Ensure Implementation of new/revised strategic policies, plant monitoring procedures and HSE compliance.
  • Participate in electrical and instrumentation equipment troubleshooting and testing.

5.LEAD, IT ASSET MANAGEMENT & SERVICE SUPPORT

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming queries and issues related to computer systems based on the Help Desk policy.
  • Provide and communicate workarounds to customer and NUIMS team.

6. COMMERCIAL LAW/ LITIGATION SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and ensure drafting of Gas Sale Agreements, Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, and all other NGML commercial agreements.
  • Review all drafted Agreements to ensure that NGML interests are adequately covered.
  • Ensure efficient and effective Commercial Contracts Administration/Management.
  • Manage all litigations and contingent liabilities arising from NGML business activities.
  • Advise on the litigation risks of possible business decisions.
  • Provide preventive counseling with respect to legal risks associated with business practices and legal advice on litigation.
  • Manage alternative dispute resolution processes like Arbitration, mediation, conciliation, etc.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Law. Barrister at Law (BL) qualification is a must. Call to Bar is a must.
