Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2025

Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is a global effort aimed at developing the next generation of transformative leaders by enabling exceptionally talented, service-oriented young people to continue higher education and cultivate their leadership potential.

Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

The goals of Pan-Atlantic University’s (PAU) Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program are to:

Make Education Accessible: Give talented people the opportunity to achieve their academic goals.

Build the Next Generation of Leaders: Instill in scholars entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and social responsibility.

Career Success: Internships, career guidance, and mentorship to give Scholars the experiences, connections, and skills they need to succeed in the workplace.

Social Change: Encourage scholars to engage in meaningful community service projects.

We will empower and educate 650 Mastercard Foundation Scholars over the next 10 years as the first university in Nigeria to partner with the Mastercard Foundation on this historic project.

The Pan-Atlantic University

When the institution was first established in 1991, it was called Lagos Business School (LBS). In 2002, LBS became the first institution to be officially approved as a Pan-African University.

Construction on the Ibeju-Lekki site started in 2010, while the Ajah campus was completed in 2003.

In 2006, the Pan-Atlantic University Council approved the School of Media and Communication (SMC) in recognition of the importance of this field in shaping cultural life and societal values.

The Centre for Media and Communication was the precursor to the School. The university launched the Virtual Museum of Modern Nigerian Art in September 2011.

The website was designed by Spanish architect Jess Castellote and features over 400 pieces by 81 artists, including up-and-coming artists Richardson Ovbiebo and Babalola Lawson, and pioneering Nigerian artists Aina Onabolu and Bruce Onobrakpeya.
