Dalian University Scholarship: This scholarship offers full funding to non-Chinese nationals who wish to enroll in the university’s Master’s and Doctoral degree programs.
Dalian University Chinese Government Scholarship
Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is accepting Master’s and PhD candidates for the 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship—Silk-Road Program and the Chinese Government Scholarship—High-Level Postgraduate Program.
The scholarship study period for master’s and doctorate students lasts three and four years, respectively. While some of these courses are offered in Chinese, others are taught in English.
The Ministry of Education, P.R.C., established the Chinese Government Scholarship-High Level Postgraduate Program and the Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk-Road Program, which are full scholarships that allow universities to directly choose and recruit exceptional young international students to pursue postgraduate degrees in China.
Benefits of the Dalian University Scholarship
1. Exempt from tuition and on-campus housing.
2. The following is the monthly allowance offered:
- Students pursuing master’s degrees: 3,000 CNY per month
- Students pursuing doctorates: 3,500 CNY per month
3. Complete health insurance.
4. It is expected of applicants to cover their overseas travel costs.

Eligibility Criteria for the Dalian University Scholarship
- Candidates must not be citizens of China.
- For applicants to master’s programs, a bachelor’s degree is necessary; for applicants to doctoral programs, a master’s degree is required.
- Candidates must possess pertinent credentials and a solid academic background.
- Fluency in either Chinese or English, depending on the course of study.
- Candidates obtaining master’s degrees must be under 35, while those pursuing doctorates must be under 40.
Required Documents for the Dalian University Scholarship
Applicants for the Dalian University Scholarship must be prepared to provide the following paperwork:
1. The Chinese Government Scholarship applicants must complete the online application, print the form, and sign it after submitting it.
2. Candidates who are currently in China are required to provide a scanned photocopy of their visa.
3. Academic records (beginning with the undergraduate program).
4. A suggestion for a study plan that is at least 1000 words long and written in either Chinese or English.
5. Two reference letters from professors or associate professors at the university where the applicant graduated, written in either Chinese or English.
These letters will outline the applicant’s learning goals in China, overall skill set, and assessment of potential future development. Consult the attachments.
6. A photocopy of the completed English Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Blood Test Report (applicants should retain the original).
7. One blank visa page and a photocopy of the passport photo page (normal passports expire after September 2024).
8. Certificates of Language Proficiency. See the qualification’s language requirement.
9. No-Criminal Conviction Certificate. Highest degree notarized (notarized photocopy).
10. 1 picture（3cm * 4cm).
