Requirements for the IYMC Mathematics Competition
All college and secondary school students are eligible to compete.
Selection Process
There are three rounds in the IYMC 2024:
1. Qualification Round
- Five math problems should be solved.
- You must properly answer at least three problems (if you are under the age of eighteen) or four problems (if you are over the age of eighteen) to advance to the pre-final round.
- Please submit your answers online by December 15, 2024.
- Everybody who takes part gets a certificate.
2. Pre-Final Round
- Participants who are selected can register in November.
- Eight issues total—three basic, three advanced, and two unique creativity problems—should be solved.
- You have seven days to finish this round.
3. Final Round
- The 20-minute online exam for successful candidates will be overseen by a supervisor.
- The winners take home over $700 in cash prizes and certificates.
How to Apply
You must successfully answer at least three out of four (under or over 18) issues to move on to the next round. Display your movements! Remember to turn in your solution online by Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 23:59 UTC+0!
